The person behind the cookies
I am Joni. I bake small-batch cookies and hand-dipped treats to order, which means my oven is usually busy with somebody else's birthday, shower, or big celebration, and I love it.
My kiddo is grown, so these days it is the two of us. My husband, Les, runs the grill. I keep the oven busy with cookies, and my cooking blender handles the cheese sauce that ends up on half of what we eat. Most of these make about three big servings or four regular ones, so for the two of us there is usually a plate left for tomorrow, and that is a feature rather than a complaint.
Come for the cookies, stay for the recipes, and say hi when you pick up your box.

My mission is simple: to connect with my community wherever they are and share joy, love, and a little sweetness with every homemade cookie and treat.

Meet Mufasa, our forever Snack Inspector
Mufasa was our 20-pound Maine Coon, the face of Cats Club, and the most dedicated kitchen inspector you ever met. He took his cookie duties very seriously until September 2025, and he will always be part of White House Food.
